Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reality + Image 011100 by Kim Kang-Yong was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,962.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Kang-Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work REALITY + IMAGE 1406-1461 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,238.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reality + Image 011100 von Kim Kang-Yong wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.962,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Kang-Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit REALITY + IMAGE 1406-1461 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.238,61).
