Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Reality & Image 610-625, 2006 by Kim Kang-Yong for USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,626.74). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Kim Kang-Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work REALITY + IMAGE 1406-1461 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,238.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Reality & Image 610-625, 2006 von Kim Kang-Yong für USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.626,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kim Kang-Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit REALITY + IMAGE 1406-1461 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.238,61).
