Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Keith Mayerson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction, the work Snow Leopard changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,336.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Mayerson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The White House, the Rebel and the Chimp, which sold at auction in September 2013 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,388.25).
