In September 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work The White House, the Rebel and the Chimp by Keith Mayerson. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,388.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The White House, the Rebel and the Chimp is the most expensive artwork by Keith Mayerson that we have observed at auctions so far.
