Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work James Dean by Keith Mayerson was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,903.81). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Mayerson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The White House, the Rebel and the Chimp, which sold at auction in September 2013 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,388.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit James Dean von Keith Mayerson wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.903,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Mayerson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The White House, the Rebel and the Chimp beobachtet, die im September 2013 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.388,25) versteigert wurde.
