Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Julia Jacquette achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June 2009. In the Modern and Contemporary Editions auction, the work Four Sweets sold for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,318.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Julia Jacquette have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Men's Hands (Handshake) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julia Jacquette erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Editions wurde die Arbeit Four Sweets für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.318,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julia Jacquette auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Men's Hands (Handshake) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
