Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Women & Worried, Sad (Self-Portrait) II by Julia Jacquette. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,137.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Julia Jacquette have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work Men's Hands (Handshake) was auctioned for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Women & Worried, Sad (Self-Portrait) II von Julia Jacquette zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.137,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Julia Jacquette konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Men's Hands (Handshake) für USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84) versteigert.
