Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work White on White (Sixteen Wedding Dresses) III by Julia Jacquette for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,954.71). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Julia Jacquette have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Men's Hands (Handshake) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,066.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit White on White (Sixteen Wedding Dresses) III von Julia Jacquette für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.954,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julia Jacquette auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Men's Hands (Handshake) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.066,84).
