Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Italy (White) by Josiah Mcelheny. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 45,000.00 (€ 63,794.89). Other works by Josiah Mcelheny have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95) in May 2011 for the work EARLY MODERNISM MIRRORED AND REFLECTED INFINITELY.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italy (White) von Josiah Mcelheny zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 45.000,00 (€ 63.794,89) einen neuen Besitzer.
