Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Landscape Model for Total Reflective Abstraction (III) by Josiah Mcelheny. The price achieved of USD 104,500.00 (€ 81,538.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Josiah Mcelheny have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2011 the work EARLY MODERNISM MIRRORED AND REFLECTED INFINITELY was auctioned for USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95).
