Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Historical Renaissance, Mirrored and Reflected (Decorated) by Josiah Mcelheny. It changed hands for a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 96,401.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Josiah Mcelheny have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2011 the work EARLY MODERNISM MIRRORED AND REFLECTED INFINITELY was auctioned for USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95).

Im Mai 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Historical Renaissance, Mirrored and Reflected (Decorated) von Josiah Mcelheny zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 96.401,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00.
