In May 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Historical Renaissance, Mirrored and Reflected (Decorated) by Josiah Mcelheny. It changed hands for a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 96,401.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00.
