Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Pink Magnolia Blossom by Joseph Stella. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,413.00 (€ 2,185.69), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree of My Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,937,500.00 (€ 5,243,751.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Magnolia Blossom von Joseph Stella zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.413,00 (€ 2.185,69) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree of My Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.937.500,00 (€ 5.243.751,66).
