Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Quipus 20B, Codice Sul Volo Degil Uccelli E Sugli Annodamenti Di Leonardo by Jorge Eielson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,824.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jorge Eielson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quipus 32 D-7, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Quipus 20B, Codice Sul Volo Degil Uccelli E Sugli Annodamenti Di Leonardo von Jorge Eielson kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.824,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jorge Eielson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quipus 32 D-7 beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 74.978,58) versteigert wurde.
