Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jonathan Lasker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Expressive Abstinence sold for USD 81,900.00 (€ 70,318.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jonathan Lasker; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Discontinuous Self sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of USD 138,600.00 (€ 135,855.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jonathan Lasker erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Expressive Abstinence für USD 81.900,00 (€ 70.318,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jonathan Lasker; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Discontinuous Self im Juli letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 135.855,71).
