Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Berlin Dream With Steel Window Frame (Gemini 1273) by Jonathan Borofsky for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,496.14). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Borofsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man with Briefcase A; B; C; at No. 3274714; and at No. 5876246 (G. 1482-4; 1461) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 45,245.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Berlin Dream With Steel Window Frame (Gemini 1273) von Jonathan Borofsky für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.496,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Borofsky erzielen.
