Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Berlin Dream by Jonathan Borofsky for USD 179.20 (€ 156.62). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Borofsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man with Briefcase A; B; C; at No. 3274714; and at No. 5876246 (G. 1482-4; 1461) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 45,245.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Berlin Dream von Jonathan Borofsky für USD 179,20 (€ 156,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Borofsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man with Briefcase A; B; C; at No. 3274714; and at No. 5876246 (G. 1482-4; 1461) im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 45.245,46).
