This artwork by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2013. In the First Open auction, the work Ecliptic Terrane sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,553.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tropic of Cancer, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).
