Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rue St. Denis, Vers De Montigny D'Autrefois by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The price achieved of CAD 13,200.00 (€ 10,216.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Geoffrey Caruthers Little have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tropic of Cancer in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 74,978.58).

Die Arbeit Rue St. Denis, Vers De Montigny D'Autrefois von John Geoffrey Caruthers Little wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 13.200,00 (€ 10.216,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
