In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by John Grillo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 13,649.79), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Grillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,795.58).

Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Grillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 13.649,79) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Grillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.795,58) versteigert wurde.
