Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by John Grillo for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,647.37). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Grillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,795.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Grillo für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.647,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Grillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.795,58).
