Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled # 232 by Joan Nelson for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,274.63). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Part I and Part II at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joan Nelson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #196, which sold at auction in November 2004 for USD 19,120.00 (€ 14,420.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled # 232 von Joan Nelson für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.274,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joan Nelson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #196 beobachtet, die im November 2004 für USD 19.120,00 (€ 14.420,39) versteigert wurde.
