Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled; and three companion works by Joan Nelson was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in January 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,463.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Nelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #196 in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 14,420.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled; and three companion works von Joan Nelson wurde im Januar 2011 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.463,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Nelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #196 im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 14.420,39).
