This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Online at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Jim Lambie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Careless Whisper in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 203,117.21).
