Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Guards - Karaoke (Ii) by Jiang Shuo was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Shuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going Forward in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 152,093.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Guards - Karaoke (Ii) von Jiang Shuo wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiang Shuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Going Forward im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 152.093,17).
