Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jiang Shuo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. In the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction, the work Red Guards - Karaoke (Ii) sold for USD 67,000.00 (€ 47,120.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Shuo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Going Forward, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 152,093.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jiang Shuo erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan wurde die Arbeit Red Guards - Karaoke (Ii) für USD 67.000,00 (€ 47.120,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Shuo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Going Forward beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 152.093,17) versteigert wurde.
