Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Guards, Going Forward (Pair) by Jiang Shuo was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 97,000.00 (€ 68,218.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Shuo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Going Forward, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 152,093.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Guards, Going Forward (Pair) von Jiang Shuo wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 97.000,00 (€ 68.218,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Shuo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Going Forward beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 152.093,17) versteigert wurde.
