In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work She Knew She Could Eat One Whenever She Wanted To, So She Was In No Hurry by Jessie Willcox Smith. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 84,047.74), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jessie Willcox Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work How Doth the Little Busy Bee, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 386,500.00 (€ 260,778.62).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit She Knew She Could Eat One Whenever She Wanted To, So She Was In No Hurry von Jessie Willcox Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 84.047,74) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
