Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of Austin M. Purves, Jr by Jessie Willcox Smith for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,292.53). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessie Willcox Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How Doth the Little Busy Bee in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 260,778.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of Austin M. Purves, Jr von Jessie Willcox Smith für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.292,53) erwerben.
