The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,058.44) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessie Willcox Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How Doth the Little Busy Bee in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 260,778.62).
