Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dervish 0 by Jennifer Steinkamp was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 33,627.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jennifer Steinkamp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Judy Crook, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dervish 0 von Jennifer Steinkamp kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 33.627,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Judy Crook beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12) versteigert wurde.
