Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dance Hall Girl 3 by Jennifer Steinkamp was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,850.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jennifer Steinkamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Judy Crook in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).

Die Arbeit Dance Hall Girl 3 von Jennifer Steinkamp kam im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.850,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Judy Crook im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12).
