Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Who’s Asking Questions by Jay Davis for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,031.77). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part II at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jay Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work It’s Time to Go, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,084.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Who’s Asking Questions von Jay Davis für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.031,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jay Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit It’s Time to Go beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.084,73) versteigert wurde.
