Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portal #2 by Jay Davis was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 612.00 (€ 616.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jay Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work It’s Time to Go in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,084.73).

Die Arbeit Portal #2 von Jay Davis kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 612,00 (€ 616,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jay Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit It’s Time to Go im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.084,73).
