Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nothing Sacred Left by Jay Davis was sold in the NOW: Art of the 21st Century Theme Sale auction at Phillips in New York in March 2010. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,881.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jay Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work It’s Time to Go, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,084.73).

Die Arbeit Nothing Sacred Left von Jay Davis wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion NOW: Art of the 21st Century Theme Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.881,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jay Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit It’s Time to Go beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.084,73) versteigert wurde.
