Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sin Título by Javier Marín was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 44,100.00 (€ 36,165.33). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Javier Marín - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Torso de hombre amarillo, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 100,800.00 (€ 95,238.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sin Título von Javier Marín wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 44.100,00 (€ 36.165,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Javier Marín mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Torso de hombre amarillo beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 100.800,00 (€ 95.238,10) versteigert wurde.
