Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Self-Portrait by Jan Müller for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,112.30). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Müller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgins in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 54,143.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Jan Müller für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.112,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Müller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Virgins im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.775,00 (€ 54.143,17).
