Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Müller achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2016. In the Living With Art auction, the work Nude at aqueduct sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,501.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Müller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Virgins in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 54,143.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Müller erzielte im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living With Art wurde die Arbeit Nude at aqueduct für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.501,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Müller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Virgins im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.775,00 (€ 54.143,17).
