Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (New Jersey Turnpike), 1975 by Jan Groover was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,829.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Groover - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life Studies, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (New Jersey Turnpike), 1975 von Jan Groover kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.829,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Groover mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life Studies beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.170,04) versteigert wurde.
