Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 222.4 by Jan Groover was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,462.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jan Groover have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2010 the work Still Life Studies was auctioned for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 222.4 von Jan Groover wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.462,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Groover konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2010 die Arbeit Still Life Studies für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.170,04) versteigert.
