Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A hare, a partridge, a lobster and a partially peeled lemon in a roemer on a partly draped table, in an interior by Jan Fyt was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2013. The price achieved of GBP 17,125.00 (€ 19,568.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Fyt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Studies of the head of a wild boar in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 236,750.00 (€ 263,760.50).

Die Arbeit A hare, a partridge, a lobster and a partially peeled lemon in a roemer on a partly draped table, in an interior von Jan Fyt wurde im Juli 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.125,00 (€ 19.568,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Fyt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Studies of the head of a wild boar im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 236.750,00 (€ 263.760,50).
