Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A hunting dog with dead birds at the foot of a tree by Jan Fyt. The price achieved of GBP 15,250.00 (€ 18,190.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Fyt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Studies of the head of a wild boar in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 236,750.00 (€ 263,760.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hunting dog with dead birds at the foot of a tree von Jan Fyt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.250,00 (€ 18.190,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Fyt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Studies of the head of a wild boar im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 236.750,00 (€ 263.760,50).
