This artwork by Jan Fyt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2019. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Hounds with French partridges at bay; and Hounds and a hooded falcon with dead game sold for GBP 112,500.00 (€ 123,517.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Fyt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studies of the head of a wild boar, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 236,750.00 (€ 263,760.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Fyt erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Hounds with French partridges at bay; and Hounds and a hooded falcon with dead game für GBP 112.500,00 (€ 123.517,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Fyt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Studies of the head of a wild boar beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für GBP 236.750,00 (€ 263.760,50) versteigert wurde.
