Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A Still Life With Game, A Dog And A Cat by Jan Fyt. It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,667.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Fyt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studies of the head of a wild boar in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 236,750.00 (€ 263,760.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Game, A Dog And A Cat von Jan Fyt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 62.667,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Fyt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studies of the head of a wild boar im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 236.750,00 (€ 263.760,50).
