A top price for Jakob Steinhardt - as previously expected
The work The Flood by Jakob Steinhardt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Flood is the most expensive artwork by Jakob Steinhardt that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Flood von Jakob Steinhardt kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Flood das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jakob Steinhardt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
