Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jerusalem by Jakob Steinhardt was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2014. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,164.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jakob Steinhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flood in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).

Die Arbeit Jerusalem von Jakob Steinhardt wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.164,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jakob Steinhardt erzielen.
