Die Arbeit Street In Jerusalem von Jakob Steinhardt kam im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.583,80) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jakob Steinhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Flood im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14).
