Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work A village scene by Jakob Steinhardt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 9,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jakob Steinhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Flood in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A village scene von Jakob Steinhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 9.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jakob Steinhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Flood im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14).
