Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jerusalem by Jakob Steinhardt was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,437.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jakob Steinhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Flood in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jerusalem von Jakob Steinhardt wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.437,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jakob Steinhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Flood im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14).
