In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work The Birth of Toussaint L'Ouverture, from The Life of Toussaint L'Ouverture sold for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,810.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Lawrence achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Businessmen in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,169,800.00 (€ 5,448,909.30).
