Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Fish Market by Jacob Lawrence. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,524.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Lawrence achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Businessmen in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,169,800.00 (€ 5,448,909.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish Market von Jacob Lawrence zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.524,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Lawrence erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Businessmen im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.169.800,00 (€ 5.448.909,30).
